Loose brief to allow the designer to develop their own stylistic approach.
The objective of this brief was to create a pair of collaged posters inspired by the theme of "cold." The assigned brief focused solely on this aspect, without any additional considerations. I developed a concept centered around the sport of Boxing, with the phrase "Out cold on the canvas" emerging as a poignant expression associated with the sport. This concept also alludes to certain opinions characterising boxing as an emotionally detached athletic pursuit.
To amplify the concept, I delved into the tumultuous life of Iron Mike Tyson, who exhibited both ruthlessness and coldness within the boxing ring as well as on certain occasions outside of it, including the crimes for which he was convicted. Given his status as a world champion, his story resonated remarkably with the chosen concept. Immersing myself in the research, I thoroughly enjoyed unraveling the narrative of this esteemed pugilist and fashioning a visual tale that encapsulates the triumphs and tribulations he has encountered throughout his existence.
